End of semester recital: It was here that I learned how much of an impact teachers can have on students. One student's parents had never been seen at activities before. However, the student's father came to the recital. I will never forget the way the student ran across the room and gave him a hug. The student was so happy to show off for him. I realized then that as a teacher, we can help students accomplish things that will make their parents proud of them and help them to succeed.
