My name is Teresa Falter, and I have a B.S. in Music Education. I started violin at age 5 after begging my mother for 3 years to let me play. My college studies began at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and in spring of 2018, I transferred to the University of Mary.
I am the second oldest of six children and have gained experience working with children from babysitting my younger siblings and teaching some of them violin. One of the biggest influences on my decision to go into music and ultimately music education was my experience in the La Crosse Area Youth Symphony Orchestras (LYSO). It was there I learned how much fun it could be to make music together. The directors in LYSO motivated me to be a better player and showed me what great teachers can do.
